Following customer requests we started our half day courses in Malvern, running from 9:30 to 1. A first for us, we sold this through Groupon as well as on our website. The first class had four ladies, none of whom had much experience with their cameras. We did a little theory then ventured out into the PMS garden in Malvern, which was full of creepy-crawlies to photograph. We did quite a bit of underexposure on these pictures to cope with the dark backgrounds, and here is one shot from everyone:

Doing a worthwhile class in 3 1/2 hours is quite a challenge, so we concentrated on the basics – getting the exposure bright and dark enough, focusing and colour. Good fun – we have some more of these classes timetabled in September, and we may roll them out to different venues if they work as well as they did this time!
